I have a morning ritual that I do each day. First, I wake up and do some stretches ,wash my face, brush my teeth, get dressed then downstairs I go to make a protein shake.
I decided to stop going to expensive coffee shops to get my protein shakes made. The cost just kept going up. Therefore, I chose to make my own.
Below are the ingredients:
Almond milk
Protein powder
Dark chocolate syrup, about a tablespoon
Collagen peptides
And a some type of fiber powder
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients above in a blender until thoroughly mixed to your liking. Once blended add a scoop full of ice.
Use your crushing mechanism of the blender to break down the ice. I usually start with a pulse or two in order to break it down. Afterwards I use a full breakdown button to the blender so not to get ice, stuck to the blades, which will keep it from correctly mixing with the ice thoroughly.
Once blended, it is poured into a proper cup that will hold it and top it with an almond or coconut based whipping cream plus a drizzle of dark chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
Once I’m done, I rinse everything and I start my day with whatever comes my way.
Maybe you have trouble starting your day and don’t always know what to eat in the beginning. This usually gets me going and helps me be mindful with my food choices from then on.
It’s such a simple thing to do, but sometimes if you’re having difficulty in life, depression, anxiety or stress we need little nudge to get started.
